Choosing the Correct Home Exercise Equipment
Choosing the Correct Home Exercise Equipment
By D Angel
Exercise schedules should include three parts: Strength training, aerobic exercise, and flexibility training. When considering the correct fitness equipment in your home, you should purchase a machine that combines at least two of these exercises.
You do not have to invest large amounts of money on expensive fitness equipment in order to get into shape. A few pieces of exercise equipment will do, and one way to save both cash and space is to purchase exercise equipment that can be used to work several different muscle groups.
A great and least expensive way to start home exercise is to get into strength training with hand weights. They will help strengthen and tone the upper body, most people should begin with 3, 5, or 10-pound hand weights. Choosing a specific weight that suits your current level of strength can be hard. Another popular piece of exercise equipment that appears in Yoga and Pilate’s classes is the stability ball. They are made for building your abs and your back.
Strength building is just as important as a good cardiovascular workout. Strength training sessions should be challenging, and you should feel your body working hard, but not straining. Free weights and bench presses cost nothing and can provide you with great upper body muscle. If you’re on a tight budget consider one of numerous workout DVDs available. There are all levels of exercise, and most require simple equipment like a floor mat or step-up board.
If you are like me and have no self-motivation at times why not consider hiring the services of a professional fitness trainer. They can advise you in all aspects of exercise and routines that will help you to reach your fitness goals.
Exercise Equipment
For those with a larger budget wishing to take their exercise serious, will need either a treadmill, elliptical trainer or an exercise bicycle to get a rigorous cardiovascular workout. The main benefit of a treadmill is that it combines two of the most popular forms of exercise, walking and running. Elliptical trainers are growing in popularity due to the low-impact workout that combines upper and lower body exercise.
If you’re looking at primarily, strength training, I highly recommend home exercise equipment. It not only allows you to workout various muscle groups but it is more flexible than free weights.
If you want to get back into shape this year, having home exercise equipment is the answer. I love the convenience of having exercise equipment in my home, which means I can train when I want too on my terms. Not when a gym membership tells me too.
