Verified BuyerThe Economy Rubber Encased set is outstanding and Fitness Giant staff were incredible to work with for this purchase! It's 455 pounds of new plates! Not somebody's price gouged $4 per pound rusty iron plates outta their backyard 'cause of low supply industry-wide due to covid. Fitness Giant really helped answer all my questions... and I had many... on the phone with a real human being! Start to finish, I placed my order and had my plates in 3 weeks!

- - Fitness Giant staff and customer service
- - Amount of weight in this set will be more than enough for any and everyone, no matter what your lifting goals are! Even if you want to set a 1 rep 900-pound deadlift PR, you do that by building up to it with lower weight.
- - Yeah, they smell like rubber... they are rubber. Grow up, it goes away quickly, so don't complain!

Verified BuyerThese are great rubber coated plates, nothing particularly stands out or detracts from their functionality. They are exactly as advertised. What is remarkable and why the 5 star review is the experience in working with Fitness Giant. I have been searching for fitness equipment for my family since the lockdown started and ordered plates from two other companies, both of them strung me along for months and them cancelled the order. I was left with nothing. I ordered these weight plates and was skeptical I’d every see them, but Fitness Giant was great to work with. They communicated very well and actually had these plates delivered earlier than the promised date. I would definitely order from Fitness Giant again.

Cons
- Because of the heat here in TX the plates were a little ?greasy? when they arrived. We just wiped them down with a little soap and water and dried them very well and they are now perfect.

Verified BuyerGot the 455 lb set for my new home gym, These go great on my new Force USA Monster G9. Easy to maneuver, seem durable. I see allot of reviews complaining about "rubber smells on other weight sets, which these do smell right out of the box but was gone within a week.
